Vertical Blinds pull hard?

Please do not use an oily lubricant!  It will stain your verticals and eventually they will work even harder.

Use only a clear spray silicone lubricant.  You may get it at ACE Hardware, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.

If you can get the can with the tube that attaches to the nozzle, that will be better, as it will help in getting the lubricant where you want it:  inside the track.

Vertical Blinds: Fabric or PVC?

        PVC vertical blinds have many advantages:

            1.  easier to keep clean (fabric holds dust)

            2.  close tighter    (vanes are slightly curved)

    3.  may be easily shortened, just using shears

            4.  block out more light when closed

                PVC Blinds are now available in an almost endless variety of patterns and colors: 

                  some look like wood, silk, linen, string cloth, etc. Many fine prints are available.
